Truro High Tide Cruise

September is the last month to experience the Truro High Tide Cruise. Cruise up the Carrick Roads all the way up the river to the city of Truro. This remarkable trip, which only happens during high tide, navigates the upper reaches of the river that are otherwise inaccessible. The tranquil journey takes you through lush landscapes, offering a perfect outing for nature lovers and photographers.

Lobster on the Lawn at The Alverton

This month, the Alverton chefs will roll out a lobster feast with all the trimmings. Tuck into succulent lobster caught locally in Cornish waters, served al-fresco on the outdoor terrace overlooking the Alverton gardens. Arrive in style to a flute full of freshly poured bubbles to sip on as you take your seat on the sun-soaked terrace.

Old Time Sailors at Trebah Garden

Ahoy there! You are invited to board the Sailorette and join the plentiful crew, 'The Old Time Sailors', for a night of foot-stomping, dancing and singing! You will be sailing back to the 19th Century for an immersive experience of traditional seafaring music performed in a way you have never seen before.

NMMC Lecture Series

This Autumn, the respected Lecture Series from the National Maritime Museum Cornwall focuses on Women and the Sea.

Discover how women engaged with the Royal Navy in the 17th and 18th centuries, uncover the truth of Mary Bryant, and take a deep dive into the lives of fascinating female characters from history who called the Cornish coastline home.

Charity Film on the Ferry with King Harry Ferry

Imagine watching a film on the water and under the stars! Immerse yourself in a classic movie on a truly unique stage with Film on the Ferry, in collaboration with Skylight Cinema. Expect a magical night out floating on the river while enjoying the exciting film Life of Pi. Thanks to The Thirstea Co., refreshments will be available to buy on board, and proceeds will be donated to Cornwall Air Ambulance.

FORM Art Festival

The free visual arts festival, based at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth, showcases 100 exhibitors, including painters, ceramicists, printmakers, jewellers, woodworkers, and sculptors. It continues to represent Cornwall's long-standing artistic tradition. Venues across Falmouth will also host a mix of free and ticketed art events, exhibitions, and workshops.

The Lemonaires at Harbour House

Head to Harbour House for supper on the 22nd and enjoy the male-voiced capella group The Lemonaires. Based in Mylor Bridge, this local group sings of their homeland, fishing, farming, and mining.

Truro Food Festival

Celebrate Cornish food and drink with five days of foodie fun on Lemon Quay. Food lovers, local chefs, and culinary artisans celebrate Truro's rich and diverse food culture. Expect a jam-packed 5-day festival of Cornish culinary talent, fresh seasonal produce, home-grown food and drink brands, tasty street food stalls and live entertainment!

Enys House Antiques & Decorative Fair

Enys Fair has the wow factor - experience the magic of this beautiful venue. Selected dealers and exhibitors will display items throughout the ground floor of the historic Enys House, its carriage houses, yard, and gardens.
