New Menu's at Hotel Meudon

30 September 2021

Located just off the coast path near Mawnan Smith, Hotel Meudon is set in nine acres of sub-tropical gardens stretching down to the secluded Bream Cove. An idyllic location for enjoying the new lunch menu, afternoon tea on the terrace, top-notch cocktails in speakeasy-style Freddie’s Bar and delicious dinners in the restaurant with its floor to ceiling windows showcasing the magical garden outlook.

At lunchtime, look forward to an array of seasonally tempting dishes on the Prix Fixe menu (three courses for £26) served from Wednesday to Saturday from 1 pm - 2.30 pm. Or pop in to admire the gardens and enjoy afternoon tea (from £17 per person), which includes freshly cut sandwiches, daily baked scones with Cornish clotted cream and jam and a delicious selection of cakes and pastries, available from 2.30 pm - 5 pm.

Make an evening of it with ‘Freddie’s Hour’: Two cocktails for £15 every Saturday from 5:30 - 6:30 pm with a selection of small plates available. Or book a table for dinner in Restaurant Meudon, served daily from 6 pm – 9 pm.

The hotel’s idyllic setting is integral to the menus created by Cornish chef, Darren Kerley, from the bountiful fresh fish and seafood to locally farmed meats and seasonal game and fresh ingredients grown and foraged in the gardens. Taking the best ingredients from Cornwall’s ‘natural larder’, the dishes are designed to embrace the lightness and simplicity of style that emerged with the Nouvelle Cuisine movement in the ‘60s, transporting diners to the South of France via South Cornwall.
