National Maritime Museum

Silhouettes & Shadows provides spooky half-term fun at the NMMC. Following their previous shadow puppet show successes with Shivery Timbers and Pirates! Starbox Shadows and Wilderness Music present Myths in the Mist, shadowy tales from the old Cornish coast! Join Falmouth Fisherwoman Maggie Maggots for ancient tales of giants, mermaids and buccas, retold in music, verse, shadow and song.

Halloween at the NMMC is perfect for children and their families - visit out of hours if you dare on October 31st from 4pm. Ghoulishly good fun awaits – keep your eyes peeled for tricks and treats along the way…

Gather round in the Museum’s Boat Hall for a mythical Cornish tale told by our ghostly Fisherwoman. Her tall tales will feature singing and music and are sure to send a shiver down your spine!

Take part in some creepy crafts that will give your family a fright! Create a creepy companion to keep you company as you explore the Museum. Make a bat, spider or ghost.

Find the shadowy scenes around the Museum to explore Cornwall’s spooky myths and legends. When you find all five will you choose a trick or treat?

Situated on a headland with breathtaking views out to sea, Pendennis Castle is one of Henry VIII's finest coastal fortresses. Grab your broomsticks and get ready for a bewitchingly brilliant day out at Pendennis Castle. Gather round and prepare to be enthralled as you listen to stories spun by spooky storytellers. Your little monsters will giggle and gasp at these kid-friendly tales – hear about ghostly encounters, eerie folklore and unexplained happenings, all against the backdrop of Falmouth’s creepy castle! When you’re ready to walk off the goosebumps, take part in the  Halloween Quest around the grounds. Hunt for hidden clues, answer ghoulish questions and solve the puzzles to become a Halloween Hero!

Royal Cornwall Museum

Royal Cornwall Museum has an unmissable line-up of activities for all the family to enjoy this October half-term. Dive headlong into the worlds of adventurous aviators, mischievous witches, rowdy Romans, and high drama at sea. The kids are taking over at Royal Cornwall Museum this half term! Expect a captivating combination of interactive family workshops, trails, exhibitions, and performances.

Admission is free for Under 18’s and just £7.50 for an Annual Pass for adults, making a trip to the museum a great value day out this autumn.

Trebah Garden

Tregah Garden have teamed up with Prickles & Paws Hedgehog Rescue for an exciting half-term trail. Follow the hedgehog trail posts round the garden, find the letter at each slate to complete the mystery word and claim your prize from the Entrance Desk when complete!

Trails are available from the Entrance Desk and cost £2 per person, including a prize.
