The eclectic Roseland Festival runs from 22nd April - 5th May

The much loved Roseland Festival, featuring a diverse, inspiring and entertaining two weeks full of a multitude of events, will run from April 22nd to May 5th 2023.

Folk and jazz, history and art, films and photography, choirs and quartets, walks and talks are all featured in the diverse programme of events that offers something for everyone.

Sponsored by King Harry Ferry, the festival is now in its 17th year. It opens with the King Harry Ferry Dawn Chorus featuring musicians from the St Keverne Brass Bank and the Three Spires. Singers from the community will gather at the King Harry Ferry to perform a Dawn Chorus. New work written by Cornish composer Gareth Churcher will be showcased.

April 23rd

Dreamweaver Kids Craft Workshop

With handmade personalised party decorations at the heart of their business, DreamWeaver presents a morning of crafting for Children. Join in to make your own banner, tealight lantern, shell hanger, friendship bracelet or necklace and a clay printed hanging decoration.

The workshop starts at 10am at Gerrans Memorial Hall.

 

April 28th

Pendower Foraging Food Walk

Join the Cornish Wild Food foraging walk to get confident harvesting and cooking wild food. You'll learn about sustainable foraging, safe harvesting, valuable tools and the laws on gathering wild food, ending with a small foraged feast.

Starts at 11am from Pendower Beach NAtional Trust car park.

 

April 30th

Explore the Fal Estuary by Boat

Enjoy a unique opportunity to explore the Fal Rivers and Estuary on board Moyana, the Fal River charter boat. With a commentary pointing out the local sites, history and wildlife, this enjoyable, beautiful trip will last two hours and departs from the St Mawes Quay at 10.30am.

 

April 25th and May 2nd

St Just Gardens Tour

The sub-tropical grounds of St Just Church are described by John Betjeman as "the most beautiful churchyard on earth". Clive Johns will guide you through the beautiful gardens and the 13th-century church. 

Meet for 10.30am in the car park opposite Miss V's cafe and pop in afterwards for a delicious cream tea!
