Opening on Saturday 15th February 2025, just in time for half-term, the much-anticipated new Interpretive Centre invites everyone to explore the captivating history, heritage, and natural beauty of the Grade I listed church and its stunning tropical gardens. Renowned poet laureate John Betjeman famously described this peaceful haven as "for some the most beautiful churchyard on earth."

Step into a world where Celtic Christian heritage and the Age of Saints meets serene landscapes—a true "thin place" that offers beauty, peace, and tranquillity. The interactive exhibits cater to all ages, making learning an engaging adventure for families and history enthusiasts alike.

The new Interpretive Centre is open daily from 10:00am until 4:00pm in winter and 5:00pm in summer.

Entry is FREE with donations greatly appreciated. Everyone is welcome – including dogs!

Renwicks Café has been extended too, so there is even more space for Phoebe and her team to whip up a range of freshly cooked meals and scrumptious home-baked cakes.

Then you can set off on some wonderful walks - to St Mawes and its famous castle or along the creek-side path, to the Messack woods with their ancient trees and carpet of bluebells in late spring.
