Building a Show Garden Supper at Hotel Tresanton
6 February
Join Kim Parish at Hotel Tresanton for a special talk and supper
6 February 6:30pm
Kim Parish grew up in a gardening household and as a child got to visit many spectacular gardens in the East of England. In her late teens she became hooked to horticulture after teaching herself to propagate plants. In 1995 Kim started her professional horticultural career at Writtle College. Since graduating she has worked designing and implementing private and public gardens throughout Cornwall, specialising in coastal locations and sub-tropical planting.
Kim has designed and built three show gardens in 2021, 2022 and 2023: winning Silver Gilt, Gold and The People’s Choice, not to mention designing and building a garden exhibit for the Chelsea Flower Show in 2022 for the Royal Horticultural Society to celebrate horticultural careers.
In her spare time Kim works for the Royal Horticultural Society, chairing a team of judges at all major RHS shows and presents them as a national Britain in Bloom judge. In 2024, Kim has seen her work showcased in a new publication Coastal Garden Design by Mark Whyte and has expanded her business with a plant nursery and demonstration garden.
Building a Show Garden is £40 including a two course supper and a glass of wine.
