Spring Celebrations
17 March 2017
Spring is the most beautiful time of year to tie the knot in Cornwall. We’ve put together our favourite spring collection for a wedding that will be ultra special!
Spring Venues
Trelissick
Nowhere does spring like Trelissick and where could be better for a wedding than 400 acres of sweeping parkland with beautiful views of the Fal River as your backdrop. Hydrangeas, Camellias and Rhododendrons, a pretty walled garden and a romantic woodland walk that is ideal for photographs of you both. Hang twinkly lights from rustic beams and fill the tables with pretty posies, perfection!
Trebah
Trebah has stolen our hearts with it’s magnificent selection of flora and fauna, the pretty bridge across the pond and a private beach, it’s no wonder it’s been named as one of the 80 finest gardens in the world! 100 year-old Rhododendrons, Magnolias and Camellias and an abundance of colourful flowers greet you as guests enjoy the ceremony in The House with panoramic views over the gardens. Simply breathtaking!
Princess Pavilion
Spring at the Princess Pavilion means bluebells and daffodils. Wander through the gardens to Castle Beach where you can spend time together as newlyweds or explore the grounds of the Pavilion and romantic hidden nooks and corners. Dine in the The Garden Room and enjoy a private first dance together beneath the stars in the bandstand. #Love
Spring Fashion
For a beautiful spring dress, head to The Bridal House and take a look at their Papillon dress by Claire Pettibone. Ivory beaded floral embroidery with a stunning sheer illusion back adorned with pretty applique butterflies, it’s elegant with pops of colour and will turn every head in the room!
Pair a gorgeous gown with a pretty spring floral crown by Holly Young. We love Holly’s bohemian luxe style floral crowns. Available in a variety of sizes and colours or created entirely bespoke for you, Holly will create a headpiece to cherish forever. And that’s the best bit… it’s a floral crown you can keep!
For spring we are all about the natural look with barely-there make up and a messy up-do with loose tendrils. We also love plaits, tiny flowers woven into the hair or loose waves paired with one of Holly’s floral crowns. We were very inspired by the Elligant Hair creations on our recent photo shoot.
Spring Details
It’s all in the detail! For spring we’re loving pretty teacup cakes from Emily Hankins (too pretty to eat), rustic wooden wedding bands that we’ve fallen in love with from Justin Duance and wild flowers tied with hessian or a bouquet full of peonies, simple yet sublime!
