Fal River Faves: The Princess Pavilion
12 August 2017
We love the Princess Pavilion- a unique venue at the heart of Falmouth where you'll find great live music, drama and year round entertainment.
Blending the vintage with the modern, the Princess Pavilion's 600-capacity concert hall hosts entertainment and events for the whole community from weekly tea dances to festivals and big-name acts from the worlds of comedy and music.
The Princess Pavillion has hosted it's fair share of major acts in recent years including the Kaiser Chiefs, Adam Ant, Buzzcocks, Jack Dee, and Ed Sheeran (famously playing to an audience of 300 people standing on a table, and then returning 3 months later, a superstar and selling out the venue in a day).
Overlooking Falmouth Bay, the venue is nestled in the historical gardens of Gyllyngdune, where you’ll find stunning features such as an edwardian bandstand, working glasshouse and children's play area, a hidden grotto made entirely of shells and many exotic plants from all over the globe.
As well events in the main theatre, Princess Pavilion also hosts many clubs and activities from keep fit and dance, to craft workshops for children and also a full summer season of free entertainment including Friday night jazz, Monday night choirs and Sunday brass band concerts on the Bandstand.
There is also a fabulous Garden Room Bar and Bistro serving top quality food and drink daily, which due to its size and location is also an ideal space for families and large groups.
