Christmas Pasties with Philleigh Way

As you begin to plan for Christmas, why not take the pressure off for Boxing Day?
Friday December 6, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm.
Make it easy and tasty for you and the family and come along to learn how to make the best Cornish Pasty (family recipe!) and take 6 home with you to pop in the freezer ready for Boxing Day – simply heat up and serve with all that leftover cheese and cold meat!
You can mix it up a bit by making some traditional meat, some veggie, or why not add some Cornish Blue cheese to make a tasty cheese pasty – something for everyone.

Welcome: Meet your tutor and see for yourself the Philleigh Way farmhouse cookery school and garden. Enjoy a morning tea or coffee.
The Day: The course kicks off with a proper pasty making demonstration that covers the history and culture of the Cornish pasty. You will then have a go at making your own pasties (meat or vegetarian) with hands on guidance from our tutors – especially during the all important crimping stage! Whilst the pasties are in the oven, you will enjoy a demonstration of homemade scones. Then sit down to enjoy a classic Cornish cream tea before heading home with your freshly baked pasties ready to pop in the freezer for Boxing Day.
