Sailing up to 4 times a day, the 40 minute boat trip passes through an area of outstanding natural beauty before arriving at the tranquil riverside National Trust garden.

Trelissick sits on its own peninsula in an unspoiled stretch of the Fal River, with many visitors already arriving by boat each summer from Truro and Falmouth. This is the first time that there has been a dedicated ferry service from St Mawes, providing greater river links for the popular village and wider Roseland Peninsula.

2018 is an exciting year for Fal River Cornwall and their award-winning transport network. Not only will they be celebrating the launch of this new route, later this year, there will be a new boat joining the fleet. Set to sail the Trelissick Ferry route, the classic wooden ferry Kingsley II is being retrofitted with a state of the art, hybrid propulsion system. This new technology will boast an extremely low emission diesel power unit, significantly reducing the ferry’s carbon footprint.
